Reference Photo Guidelines
The Face

You’re ready to start getting your statuette crafted! Now, the next step is to send in 5 photos of each person included in the statuette.

Don’t worry, we’ll walk you through the whole thing!

Start by taking:
A photo of the front of your face, straight on.
A photo of the side of your face.
A photo with a 3/4s angle of your face.

Remember:
● Smile! Try making the expressing you want your statuette to have.
● Take your photo in soft indoor lighting.
● Stand roughly 10 feet away and zoom in using your camera’s zoom feature.
● Don’t leave anything out. Show your full face and head.
● Make sure the distance and lighting is the same for each picture.
● Wear makeup or don’t. Up to you.
● Take a photo at the level of your face. Not above or below.

Tip! Avoid harsh lighting or moving the camera too close to your face.

Full body

Now that the face is done its time to move onto the body pictures.

Take two photos:
One from the front.
One from the side.

Remember:
● Show the full body
● You don't need to be wearing the outfit (wedding dress or graduation gown)
● If you choose not to wear the outfit please provide reference pictures

Reference photos can be shared either directly through email or by providing a link using a photo/file sharing service such as photobucket or dropbox.

What NOT to do

Avoid shadows
  • Avoid harsh shadows
Avoid FoV issues
  • Don't take the picture too close. It will change of shape of your face in the photo.
Avoid outside light
  • Avoid Bluish light from outside
